Our Mammoth Jumble Sale held at the bath and West Show Ground

For Many years now we have held our Annual Mammoth jumble sale at The Bath and West. This is the main source of income for building our cart each year. It takes a good 3 months of organizing, from Christmas to the beginning of April, when it is usually held. We start by distributing leaflets in shepton and the surrounding villages and arrange a date for the area collections. This takes a lot of man power. The collecting does not stop there, it all has to be stored and sorted until the day of the sale. A week before the Jumble Sale, with many volunteers, the Showering's hall at the Bath & West is transformed into a massive furniture, brick-a-brack, clothes, household items, books and toy warehouse, this is a sight to be seen. It does not stop there, any items unsold have then to be disposed of, much of which goes to the Salvation Army.

Sadly through lack of manpower, this year we have had to postpone it. Lets hope with a few new members it will continue for 2011.
